with stunning views of Caragh Lake, the McGillycuddy Reeks Mountains and Dingle Bay.
Of the four cottages, three were formerly roofed in humble thatch but are now comfortably appointed to sleep 10 in 5 bedrooms.

There are 2 baths, 3 showers, 4 toilets.
All linen is provided.
The kitchen is well appointed with cooker, microwave and other normal conveniences.
The dining table seats up to 16 people.
There are TV, music box, video cassette and telephone, dish- and clothes-washers, and clothes dryer
Enjoy the pleasure of large gatherings
at Barralach's big open fire.
You will have unlimited free firewood.
And of course there is turf!
Our ten acres once supported families of potato farmers, named Kennedy and Reagan, who enhanced their income by turf cutting.

The pure spring water, remote location and absolute privacy also provided the perfect location for spirits distillation.
Our location is ideal for golfers, since we lie roughly in the midpoint between the great courses of Killarney, Tralee, Ballybunion, and Waterville;
we are only 10 minutes from the Dooks 18-holes
links course.
Through Barralach's windows, you will regularly see hares, rabbits, weasels and many varieties of birds, close-up and unaware of your presence, in addition to the several hundred unfenced sheep grazing the hillsides and suckling their lambs.
Other great attractions include mountain hiking, randonnée, Wandern (Barralach is on the Kerry Way), fishing for trout and salmon on the Caragh river and associated lakes, horse riding, and several blue-flag Atlantic beaches such as Rossbeigh.

Our cottages are only five minutes drive from the Ring of Kerry, and a modest distance from the Dingle and Beara peninsulas.

The lively pubs and fine restaurants of Glenbeigh and Killorglin are a short drive from Barralach.

For the odd day that you may wish to spend indoors, there are numerous videos both for all the family and for children, and an extensive library.

Excellent guidebooks for hikers, as well as maps of Kerry, and a folder of recommended activities, taxis, restaurants etc are provided.

Our housekeeper will often be prepared to cook a fine meal or arrange for babysitters.
The cottages may be rented by the week, as a single unit only, usually
from Saturday to Saturday.
